Mark is a highly experienced Project / Construction Manager with 27 years of experience in Management positions within the Engineering, Construction and Asset Management Services industry. Working with UGL since 1995, Mark has successfully executed the delivery of major Process and Infrastructure projects for a number of blue-chip clients with exposure across all commodities. He was the Construction Manager for the SMP installation contract for the Darwin Ichthys (Inpex) LNG project MEC-1 Package – UGL / Kentz Joint Venture where he was responsible for the construction of 2 X LNG trains and Inlet facility. An LTI Free project worth more than $1b, expending more than 7M+ manhours with a crew size in excess of 2000 personnel.
Brent brings to SIMPEC extensive corporate and project based commercial, contract and project controls experience in both an EPC and contractor capacity. With over 25 years of experience in the Engineering, Construction and Asset Management Services industry, Brent leads by creating high functioning teams based on the fundamentals of trust, confidence, and communication. Joining SIMPEC from MSP Engineering and AusGroup in Commercial Manager – Corporate roles, Brent’s previous experience was cemented with UGL over a 15 year period In various Perth, interstate and site based roles. During his time at UGL, Brent held the role of Commercial Manager – Corporate and Commercial Manager – Asset Services Regional, WA / SA. Other notable assignments with UGL include Contracts Manager for the Karratha Life Extension Project, Commercial & Controls Manager for the for the FAST BHPB SP2 Jimblebar Project and EPCM Senior Project Controls Engineer on Project Aurora for Incitec Pivot. Brent also performed various other positions including Commercial Manager and Project Finance Manager.
Luke is a Health, Safety and Environmental professional with 17 years’ experience and significant career exposures across oil & gas and mining - brownfields & greenfield environment. As a HSEQ Manager Luke has held senior positions with Tier 1 companies and played a pivotal part in their securing and delivering major projects. Luke works closely with Senior Leadership teams to help them create internal capability and resilience around the HSEQ function ensuring it is well integrated into overall business processes. Core competencies extend to an array of areas such as development and implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ASNZS 4801 OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management systems. Managing project resources and technical issues, while consistently meeting, training and exceeding performance metrics. Strong technical and methodical aptitude with an innate ability to analyse, coordinate and synthesize ideas into strategies with a key focus on culture.
Kat has 20 years of experience in industrial and employee relations, primarily within the Resources industry. Throughout her career, she has provided specialist advice to major resource projects within Australia and managed EIR for both multinational and Australian resource companies and contractors. She is committed to achieving harmonious industrial relations via positive employee relations and working collaboratively with all stakeholders.
Chris has over 20 years of professional experience in mining, refineries, power generation, demolition, gas turbine construction and maintenance. Chris has an in-depth understanding of commissioning driven engineering design. Chris has a comprehensive understanding of engineering deliverables and key sequences to support all phases of a project including FEED and studies. Chris utilises effective stakeholder engagement to ensure the review, sign-off and approvals of study documents. Chris engages proactively with the team to identify, align, and implement key boundary criteria controls across engineering, cost, schedule, reporting & commercial elements of study delivery that set the combined project team up for success.

David is highly experienced in undertaking the project management and project controls for projects that require diligent change management due to design changes and other changing client requirements. Recently, David undertook the Project Management of the Roy Hill E&I/SMPP Crusher 3 project where the design and instlalltion requirements underwent a number of changes, all of which were managed in accordance with UGL’s change controls and successfully delivered within the original schduele. He has a capacity to work across various fields and routinely manages projects that require a high degree of subcontractor and supplier management. He has achieved quality, efficiency and productivity in all his previous roles. Further to this, David has an excellent knowledge of electrical products, is experienced in maintenance and repair duties, commercial and light industrial workplaces, and is able to read and interpret drawings such as Electrical and Instrumentation Schematics and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). David’s experiences ensure that production demands are achieved in an efficient, safe, timely and cost effective manner to meet the requirements of the client. David will bring to this project a wealth of experience with strong leadership and management skills, with a strong focus on safety without compromising the schedule and quality of the project. In addition David brings a high level of efficiency and great motivational skills.
Sattar is highly dedicated and a successful Professional Engineer who has over 25 years experience with significant career exposures across oil and gas and mining - brownfields and greenfield environment. As a Senior Engineer and upholding management roles with Tier 1 companies, Sattar has played a pivotal part in their securing and delivering major projects.
Julianne has been part of several Administration, HR and Finance teams having worked on various Major Projects including Boddington Gold Mine, Ravensthorpe Nickel Project and Woodside Train IV. Julianne is a highly capable, enthusiastic and motivated Office Manager with extensive experience in supporting mid and senior-level managers by providing consistent and extensive administration support. With the ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities, Julianne is an integral team member willing to respond to the challenging needs of any role. Having worked in the finance, commercial and HR space, Julianne’s vast experience allows her to be dynamic and responsive to the Company’s needs.
As a Chartered Practicing Accountant for 15 years, Nicole brings to SIMPEC extensive financial and accounting experience to deliver internal and external performance reporting, financial planning and analysis, finance controls and policy frameworks. Nicole has held senior positions with public and private businesses across the oil & gas and construction industries. Nicole held the office of Finance Manager for VDM Group Ltd (ASX listed) when the company went through significant re-structuring and re-investing phase. Nicole’s responsibilities covered the full spectrum of statutory reporting / auditing, management reporting, budgeting & forecasting, tax compliances and investment analysis.
