The CGP2 Project involves construction of a new standalone Lithium Chemical Grade Plant, including a crushing facility at Talison Lithium Australia’s (Talison) operations at Greenbushes in Western Australia. The CGP2 project will significantly expand production of lithium oxide concentrates from Greenbushes, and is in response to the growing demand for them as a key feedstock for the manufacture of lithium ion batteries used for electric vehicles, battery storage and consumer electronics.

The project was completed in the second quarter of 2019. This project is now the most technically advanced Lithium Oxide facility in Western Australia.
